Breakfast-To-Go

You may remember my post about quick and easy breakfast ideas. Not to stroke my own ego, but here goes. I thought my ideas were pretty good ones- healthy and quick to prepare. Most of them could be prepped in 5 minutes or less.

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of talking with the founder of Melanie’s Medleys. They sent me some of their ancient grain bowls to try. I was nervous. What if I didn’t like them? What if they were super unhealthy? (True to form, I created worry for no reason). In reality, if I didn’t like them, I would just kindly say thank you and move along. The beauty of blogging is that I can choose the products I want to share. If you’re reading about it on here, it is something that I genuinely enjoy and want to share.

The box arrived, and I noticed the ancient grain bowls had to be kept in the refrigerator. This automatically made them different from the dry oat bowls I envisioned. Over the course of the next week, I found myself trying all of the different flavors. These bowls truly are unreal. They have a barely, faro, or freekeh as a grain base. My favorite flavor was the peanut butter chocolate chip. This bowl came in a base of almond milk with only 210 calories and 9 grams of sugar. For something with chocolate in it- I’ll take it! Some of the other varieties have lower sugar and calorie content.

I found myself reading more about the brand as I inhaled a bowl one morning. The statement below sums up Melanie’s Medleys:

“Melanie believes that life is all about balance. Work hard during the day and unwind at night. Eat chocolate chip pancakes when your heart wants it and drink green juice when your body needs it. Live and love. Move and stay still. Aim for balance.”

I read that and thought, “Can I just insert my name and use this?” If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I aim for complete balance in my life. (When it comes to eating) That is why I’m happy to announce that I am going to be a brand ambassador for Melanie’s Medleys! Stay tuned, more goodness to come.
